Momentum for Professionals stores all data on a laptop which is password protected and encrypted. Back-ups are made weekly from the laptop onto an external hard drive, which is locked away in a separate property.

Your personal data when purchasing online products from this website

Momentum for Professionals has created an online shopping facility which enables users to enter their contact details and payment information in return for downloading documents. We use an online e-commerce platform called ‘WooCommerce’ to create the shop and all payment details are made using the Momentum for Professionals business PayPal account. We do not have access to any payment details you enter when placing an order on our website. All such payment details (credit card/debit card/PayPal details etc.) are processed using PayPal’s online secure system. To see PayPal’s security information click here. The only information we receive following any online transactions you make with us is your name, business name, business address and postcode, business email and your business phone number. We cannot guarantee that your personal details from the Momentum website will not be compromised due to unauthorised access from third parties.

Use of your personal data for email marketing purposes

Momentum for Professionals sends a monthly email newswire (using MailChimp’s email software) which provides free marketing tips and ideas, as well as promoting services offered by Momentum for Professionals. Occasionally we may also promote the services offered by third parties we are happy to recommend. The personal data we use in this email newswire is your first name and your email address only. Recipients of this email newswire are Momentum for Professionals clients (unless they have asked not to receive this newswire), people we have met in the course of our business or to people we feel would have a legitimate interest in the contents of the email. Recipients may have also subscribed to receive it at an event we have attended or on our website. Recipients who don’t want to receive any further marketing emails from Momentum for Professionals should use the unsubscribe link on the email newswire, or you can email vicki@momentumforprofessionals.co.uk with the word ‘Unsubscribe’ in the subject field.

Use of your personal data for marketing purposes with third parties

Sometimes we will pass your data on to carefully chosen third-party organisations who we will instruct to help us with our own marketing activities and the smooth running of our business. The data that we send to these third parties depends on the task we need them to perform. For example, only your first name and email address is used in our email marketing software. Your full name, business name, business address and phone number and email address, will be used by our telemarketing company to arrange appointments to see you or call you by phone. They may also contact you to conduct client surveys or carry out market research on our behalf. We may also transfer your data to a Virtual PA company or mailing house to help us send printed mailings to you.

Before sending any data to third parties we get them to confirm they are complying with the GDPR so that you can have peace of mind that your data is being handled lawfully and fairly. As soon as the campaign has finished we ask all third parties to delete the data we have sent them and get them to confirm this action has taken place.

Use of your client data by Momentum for Professionals

Occasionally our clients ask us to implement marketing campaigns on their behalf which may involve posting, emailing or phoning their clients, prospective clients or business contacts. In order to do so, our clients may have to send us their data. This data may include names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses. Momentum for Professionals will work with third-party organisations to process this data for the purposes of the specific marketing activity required, e.g. sending emails, carrying out a client survey, sending printed mailings etc. Before embarking on any such marketing campaigns we will always inform our clients of the third party we will be using and provide suitable GDPR compliance materials from these third parties to our clients. At the end of the campaign(s), Momentum for Professionals will delete any of your client data that we hold, and we will get the relevant third parties to confirm they have done the same.
